BCM’s commitment to research supporting conservation in Madagascar

At BCM, we believe that scientific knowledge is the cornerstone of effective conservation actions. We place high value on research that deepens our understanding of Madagascar’s unique ecosystems and biodiversity. These insights directly inform and enhance our fieldwork, ensuring that our conservation strategies are both evidence-based and impactful.

Thus, we are especially committed to supporting research conducted within  our sites. Studies by individuals or Scientific and Academic Institutions are encouraged, provided of course that they conform to Malagasy National Research regulations and are conducted in an ethical manner. These studies not only enrich our ecological knowledge but also help us tailor our actions to the specific needs of each site.

Such research has already  resulted in numerous scientific papers and broader publications.

This section is dedicated to all the researchers, partners, and contributors who have helped generate and promote knowledge about the biodiversity within our sites. Their dedication and research work is central to our mission and to the future of conservation in Madagascar. We thank them here.
